This is the story of a honest and simple living man who is motor mechanic running his own garage.

Motor mechanic Shankar (Mithun Chakraborty) saves the life of Journalist girl (Indira Krishnan) from the goondas and with this incident, a brother-sister relations developed.

The heroine Ramkali (Shalini Kapoor) owns a Paan shop just opposite Shankar's garage. She starts liking him, love develops. Vishdhar (Mohan Joshi) does all anti-national crime for money and is helped by a political leader and corrupt police officers.

When Shankar tries to expose these criminals with proof, corrupt police officers put him behind the bar with false allegations.

To finish these demons, be becomes Aaj Ka Ravan, which can be seen on the big screen.
